Sky Running UK?

Posted: 25/10/2013 at 09:57

Had a bit of a conflab with Ian Corless on FB as there is going to be a big drive it seems to get more UK runners competing in the Sky running series. Apparantly there is going to be a Skyrunning event in the UK in 2014 (It won't be part of the series but aimed more at getting the name out there to the grass root runners who may be interested in competing in the actual championships abroad)

Apologies if its all old news but thought it was worth posting just to bring it to peoples attention

I enjoyed the Kennet & Avon canal race 56 miler this year. Would be a cracking race if it had a few more competitors. Plus it was a 1£ a mile so can't grumble

Ive found it to be a bt hit and miss but i do get it working everytime. I think i might be missing something somewhere. I dont think its faulty i just dont think im doing it right. It took me a few goes to get it working propetly. I wear the strap quite high and biased towards the left side. When its not showing i lift it andplace it back again. It only seems to get working after a few minutes and once my heart rate is high but i do get it working. Let me know if you have anymore luck. Ive never really read the instructions to be fair

Eliptical Cross trainer foot position?

Hi all,
Just some advice for any fitness buffs out there. Picked up a very good deal on cross trainer. However the front of the foot pad (where your foot sits) is missing. When using a cross trainer where should your foot sit? From limited knowledge a while ago I thought your foot should sit centrally in the foot pad and that the raised area all the way round isn't used to aid with the exercise. If andbody could advise it would be appreciated

Because the person who I am doing it with is friends with him I do get what you are saying but you could say just a few mates could go and run the MDS course together or the UTMB course together or London Marathon together but its still not doing the UTMB or the London Marathon or MDS. i think its a case of saying right I done so and so event whats next otherwise nobody would enter anything?
