Emmyg2 they do say you’re LSR pace should be about a minute slower than your race pace so if you were aiming for 10:00 race pace your LSR should be done at about 11

Afternoon all

well the 16 miles with Snowmaiden went well we got around in 3:15:00 with an Avg pace of 11:58 she even manage a little sprint at the end which i think not only surprised me but Snowmaiden as well  and she ran  all 16 miles

For those who don’t know Snowmaiden ran her first ever Brighton Marathon in 2013 it took her 7:10:00 and she nearly collapsed at the end last year after losing 3st in weight we did it in 5:26:00 but used a run walk this year’s she’s aiming to run it all we’d like to take 27 minutes of her time and go sub 5hrs this year

Urbane Fox  here the route as it was in 2011 it shows the road to hell so you can get an idea of what it’s like but i think it’s because it’s just so bleak

there are quite a few changes from the video the route the same from the start until you get to where it says union rd in the video this is where thet changed it last  year  instead of following the road around to the right as on the video we now go left do a loop before rejoining the course   on the video it then the same until St James street you no longer run to the end dropping down on to the sea front a lot sooner

Again the course is then still the same until the time reads 3.05 minutes at the end of the cones on the video you now do a U turn instead of running up the hill and back down though the school

Again the course is the same until you get back to the big roundabout instead of going left up the hill they changed this last year cutting it out and we go right around the roundabout and head back along the cliff top back towards Brighton

The last difference is where the video say u-turn that’s not there we carry on to the end of that road going left at the end do another loop and come out of the road you can just see as the camera comes around as they turn to head back the way they came the course is then the same as the video till you reach the end
