Hi all

Well have entered for next year but will see in December whether I’m up for it my daughters also re-entered but not the Poohbear although she’s umming and arring about it so watch this space

Went to the Exbo yesterday and collected our numbers i to also got a free pair of compression calf guards back down later to the Exbo to meet our friend

will have to get up the doctors about my feet after Brighton if a wish to stand any chance at all of training for next year

Hope everyone has a safe journey if you’re travelling up to day

And have a good race everyone

Mantabar sorry you’ve had to drop out although i may be wishing I’d done the same by 2pm tomorrow afternoon

Hi All

Sorry I’ve not been on for ages and would like to say I’ve been reading the thread on a regular bases but I’ve just not had the hart to as my training been p** poor over the last month

we’ve had to take my son back to Uni in Leicester so were staying the night here then driving down to Brighton tomorrow from here as I’ve said training hasn’t gone well as i was bad second and third weeks of March and then picked up a niggle groin injury which I’ve had to rest  plus I’m now getting sore heels if i run or walk for more than a couple of hours

this means I’ve not been able to run for over 4 weeks so I’m just hoping that all the high mileage i did throughout last year and the first 2 months of this year will see me through we’re just going to take it really slow and run the first mile then walk the next 2 tenths and the run to the next mile and see how we get on will be happy with 6 to 6.5 hours but if we take longer so be it

Afternoon all

well Bath H/M for me to day did it in 1:46:09 which is about 4 minutes slower than last year and over 5 minutes outside my PB i have to admit I've been playing with the training for Brighton this year just can't seem to find the enthusiasm I've had in previous years

Well it showed today as i started off at 7:25m/m with ever mile getting gradually slow by the 13th mile it was down to 8:33m/m

so i think it's going to be just get around this year at Brighton will sign up for next year but I'm going to have to see how i feel when December comes as to whether i can be bothered to train for another one

but this year I’m going to go back to the approach i adopted after Brighton 2013 and only run the training distances  i need for the race I’m training for and not keep up the heavy mileage i did this year
