Should obesity be considered a disability?

Posted: 22/06/2014 at 15:19
Danish childminder's discrimination case may redefine obesity as disability

If you can't be arsed reading it, the gist is a 158Kg (25 stone) childminder got sacked 'cos he wasn't able to tie up children's shoelaces.

So What is your favourite piece of art.?

Some of Banksy stuff is really good too, if that qualifies as art.

Not all that keen on sunflowers, but The Starry Night is cool

The worst piece of "art" you have ever seen?

Posted: 15/06/2014 at 00:41

Saw this (or something very similar) at the Tate Modern

I don't know much about art, but I know shite when I see it.

Story on BBC website - Bike sex man placed on probation

Convicted of "sexually aggravated breach of the peace".

Happened in Scotland where the law on breach of the peace is rather different to England and Wales.

He was also placed on the sex offenders register. In Scotland any offence with a sexual element can potentially put you on the sex offenders register, in England and Wales it's only offences on a specific list that can.

Bristol Half

Posted: 01/05/2014 at 22:42

I'm doing the Bristol 10K, just got my race pack. It says if you're in wave 1 you can start in wave 2 instead if you want to run with someone slower. But you can't start in wave 1 if you have a wave 2 number.

From what I remember, the Bristol HM is the same deal, so shouldn't be a problem.

Online dating sites

I had a date with a sailor last week, thanks to OKCupid.

Unfortunately when I asked her if she wanted to meet again she said no, because she hadn't felt a spark. Next time I go on a date I'll take a taser with me.

Boston marathon on UK TV?

Posted: 21/04/2014 at 00:18

Coverage details here. Looks like it's not on UK TV, but apparently you can watch it online for free here if you live in one of the countries listed (UK isn't on the list).

Firefox with the Media Hint Add-On might work...
