Dunno. Suppose you have to weigh up whether you're now strong enough to do the climbs on a double without battering your legs too much, against spinning out on the downs with a compact.

I know I'm going to need my compact for the ups and will be grateful for the recovery on the downs. Planning to go play on some hills tomorrow which will give me a good idea of how much it's going to hurt in 5 weeks time!

Sun cream?

Yep, regular p20 user in both training and events.  Was on the bike for about 5 hours last Sunday in full sun most of the time and have barely a hint of comedy tan.

At events I apply it liberally when I get up and allow 10 mins or so for it to soak in before getting dressed.  Generally don't apply anything else all day - which in my case means till long after sundown - and have only ever had minor sun related soreness.

Like all sun screens you need to apply it generously for it to do the job properly

Hi Sam and welcome.

Yes, same bra throughout is most practical. Probably your best bet is to use whatever sports bra you currently use for running. Doubt if the fasteners would catch on the wetsuit but, if you use a tri suit then you'd be wearing that under the wettie anyway or, if you go for separates and are worried about hooks catching, wear the tri top for the swim - which would also save you time in transition.

Had a splash around at Heron this morning and that's at a comfortable temperature too now
