Stanners - most direct commute route is only 5.5 miles so not huge distances. However, took advantage of sunshine and lighter evening to take a longer way home tonight. Downside - more traffic getting in my way and slowing me down!

Ouch Robbie; I forsee much stretching and foot rolling in your immediate future

Bit of pedal commuting for me; those hills seem to be getting easier.

Drafting my letter of resignation just in case

My training's been a bit hit and miss.  January was reasonable on consistency but light on miles; February was rubbish; March will (must) be better than both.

Anyhow, how's everyone's training going?

Might have to investigate hotels at Heathrow. Flights which left at a sensible time of day (eg 0915) didn't arrive at Klaggers mostly till late evening (2130). Leave at 0600 and you're in Klaggers at 1030.

Mental negativity

Good news Betty. Hopefully the positivity gained from loving the horrid hill give you something to latch on to as you move towards your next event.  Sometimes forgetting about times and just running for the sake of it can take the pressure off too.

I noticed in your first post you said you were running 3 x 2hr sessions per week. That strikes me as being quite a heavy training load so maybe that had a cumlulative effect and your brain was just telling you to ease back a bit?

Happy running

February was a rubbish month for me. Mojo vanished early in the month then, when it started to come back, I managed to pick up an annoying niggle in my calf which has stopped me running.

Almost went for a run today but took the sensible option and got on the bike instead.
