Good idea Meldy. From a quick look at other groups, I think if they click on the group name they should be able to see it, if they just click on 'request membership' they wont.

We could alway amend the location to 'High seas, public houses and RW UK Tri forums'

Bucklers hard oly

Posted: 20/09/2014 at 14:05

Done 3 events at Bucklers Hard, two Swashbucklers and a sprint (which no longer happens). All of them were alleged to be at slack tide. For two of them the tide was barely noticable. At one of the Swashbucklers, according to spectators, the gun went off, the water turned white as everyone started to swim, and no-one went anywhere! The out leg of that swim was tough, the return leg was fab

Tidal river swim is only fun if you're a reasonable swimmer.

I might recognise you Robbie - but possibly only if you're holding a large tub of vaseline

Did that doughnut thread get cazzed then? ih and here does the term cazzed come from?

Many years ago, a forumite known as Caz either started or posted on a thread which was very quickly deleted by RW. This was the first time that anyone could remember this happening.

10k next week, I'm not ready!!!

You won't find many quitters around here Jacky, go for it - but take it nice and easy.

I've found that, when I know I'm not fully fit for a particular distance, I get a better result if I run/walk from the start rather than running as far as I can then walking or run/walking the rest.

Good luck and enjoy
