Was looking at Kinetic Revolution website yesterday and there's a section on injury and rehabwhich might be worth a look.

Hi Robbie, how's the foot?

Can't make up my mind which sounds best; 14 weeks, 96 days or 2317 hours

You had a rubbish run and you know why. It happens to all of us and there's nothing we can do about it.  Forget about it and remember the good runs you've had.

As to how far you should go for your next long run, do whatever your schedule says. You're in taper, overdoing it now has the potential of leaving you too tired to do your best on THE DAY.

This may be your biggest problem so maybe you need to think of some positive strategies to get over it. You said you had a good 18 miler so focus on that or maybe break the race down into 10k chunks. You know you can run 6 miles, you just have to do it four times in a row

Good luck

Should've gone for a pedal today but couldn't whip up the enthusiasm.

I wish I had.

Instead of doing nothing again I took myself out for a run. Which would've been fine if I'd not decided that 4.5 miles wasn't quite enough and took a turn for 5-5.5miles. Newly recovered calf muscle started to twinge at about 4.5 miles and was reduced to a walk by 5 miles.

What a twat

Barely seems worth mentioning in amonst all these epic rides but I ran 4 miles.

Highlight was seeing a toddler learning that, if you see something really interesting on sloping ground, it's better to move to the downhill side of the object before trying to pick it up. Classic slowmotion faceplant - soft surface so no harm done.
