Bengals are very vocal too and now Boycie is going blind he calls out constantly to find us...even at night

I've done 40 milers on consecutive days before so I'm not sure what my legs are whinging about!!

I had to google Egyptian Mau as I've never heard of that breed but they look just like my Boycie did as a kitten although he is a Bengal. I hope the temperament on the Mau's is more docile than the Bengal as Boycie was a vicious little shit as a kitten/young cat but now he's 16 he's finally mellowed and only draws blood very occasionally now.

Sorry to hear about your daughter's concussion, Hope! I had a really nasty one when I was about 7 that put me in a coma for a week or so because no one realised I had concussion and I was too woozy to remember what had happened so my GP said to let me sleep...I didnt wake up for over a week! I know she's worried about college but using a screen will not help her recovery, she needs to rest...has she tried listening to audiobooks to pass the time?

I never keep race numbers but Smiffy has all his with times written on them. I love my medals though.

I have the urge to exercise but I'm not sure my legs agree yet - I did a Mara on Saturday and matched my second fastest time and I have another on Friday so I am inclined to listen to my legs for once..maybe.

Sorry for ignoring everyone else on here...lots of new faces since I last popped in.

Shades - Just checked my old emails and I still have the plan you send me back in December 2005! That was back in the days when I thought I might run a marathon in 2006...erm I think it ended up being four that first year!

Emmy...if I've got the right person then you have an FB friend request for me. If I've got it wrong then I've just requested the friendship of a random runner!

Shades...work rather took over my life this year so just a couple of marathons this year but I did lots of ultras last year in the build up to the Lakeland 50 where I had a great race and got proposed to on the finish line! My initials are still CAS but the S stands for Smith now When I counted up my finished 19 were ultras!

Emmy...I think I know who you are on FB but we're not currently friends although we have a lot of friends in common. I think I might have looked at your profile as you have the same surname as my cousin. I think you were at Thames Meander marathon as well?

Hello Shadies! Been a while since I stuck my head in here but I saw Moore006 at Saxon Shore and thought I'd pop in and it seems like there is a bit of a thread gathering at Dymchurch on Friday.

Fingers crossed, Dymchurch should be my 40th Mara/ultra and mean that I've achieved my aim of 40 before I'm 40 with more than three months to spare...and it all started here! Thanks Shades!

I'd never heard of puddle lights before...just realised I've been driving a car fitted with them (and they work) for three and a half years and that my previous car also had them I'm always more interested in the engine and toque curves than the other extras though.

Long run - ha, iPad tried to change that to long ruin - for me tomorrow...and after watt biking and doing a kettle bell class yesterday and running and doing Pilates today, I think it's gonna hurt.

Still when I finish it's packing time for our anniversary weekend. We'll almost be in Welsh Wales so I will wave from my hot tub

Evening whingers!

Ferret...yes I had laser surgery about nine weeks ago now and I'm really pleased with the result. I might need reading glasses in the future but no need for any for distance work. I was back up to driving standard within 12hrs of the op too.

I use a hypnosis audiobook to help me sleep when my mind is going at a million miles an hour and I find it does help.

Debbo...brrr to snow already! Ditchy said earlier that the uk is forecast to get its first snowfall in the next week or so. It certainly did feel colder today...even had to de-ice the car this morning
