Six Physio

I wont be going back if im honest..in my experience i present a problem and i get a default answer. Sorry if i sound cynical but i was told at Salford Pdiatry School that i had been misdiagnosed by 2 different podiatrists who sold me insoles at £200 a pair.

So what are you telling me to do? Am i ok to ease myself back into running? Thanks for your time.

Six Physio - i dont know whether you telling me to stretch ot not? sorry being a bit thick....but ive had a bot of contradictory advice lately....my physio examined me , told me i had tight hamstrings( which i do)...told me to stretch more then relieved me of £30.

Thanks for your replies

Absurdly after the run on Thursday it was very sore on Friday....but today its probably better than it has been since it started....(though its still there)

Ill look to take Six Physio and Running Chemist's advice.

Runners Therapist :- Just before my Hamstring kicked off  - i was visiting Salford Podiatry school ( after being disillusioned by private podaitrists) in a vein attempt to solve my medial shinsplints problem in my left leg. I have a leg length discrepancy ..(left is Shorter). They videoed me running front and back ...My left foot has slight pronation as i land but my right has considerable pronation. I dont know whether my new orthotics are the issue as i have always worn differnt pairs over the last 5 years.

Anyway im sure we have spoken before...are u based in marlow??

Thanks Jackie,

Im at a bit of a loss ...the physio told me to stretch which i have...made no difference.

Ive had a sports massasge...which realy didnt do anything.

so after 8 months i ran a mile out of frustration even though i could still feel it, And yes i aggravated it.

I went to the doctors hoping to be referred so i could at least get a scan because this has been going on tooo long....and he perscribed anti inflammatories..sigh

I now havent run a step in 8 months due to sore hamstring in my left leg.I did wait a long time hoping it would settle down before going to a physio. The 1st one i went to didnt seem to have a clue what was wrong with me but told me to stretch , the 2nd did seem confident it was tight hamstrings ( i struggle to get either of my legs past 45 degress when lying on my back) and he told me to stretch to...which i admit i have been rubbish at but i am trying with a lot of discomfort.

Ive always suffered from quite acute shinplints in my left leg ( i wonder if its connected) but have never had any problems with my hamstrings before...it just came on suddenly..no pop or searing pain.

I have seen a lot of podiatrist in the past ( for shinsplints) who extracted a lot of money for useless insoles so i am quite cynical when it comes to paying money out these days.

Anyway..has anyone else had this ? and how was it remedied? Also would i be daft to do some light running on a flat surface?

Im rubbish if im not running and i get demotivated about any other exercise
