Forerunner 110 blank screen

Good luck with it xx

My HRM strap went once, and I tried to change the battery to no avail, I still would not pick up a signal.. I took advice for the net/ RW forum, and it said to put the battery upside down from its normal position, for a certain period of time (cannot remember how long, but it wasn't ages). Then put it in the correct way around.

I tried it, and it worked. It was something witchcraft-y to do with polarisation and negative fields or something like that. There was an explanation about it, but I couldn't understand it.

It worked that's the main thing... I have always found good advice re HRMs and watches on the RW forum/ other runners forums.

I know this may be wrong, but has the battery gone???????

I know they are rechargeable, but even rechargeable have a limited life.

Or try re-setting it, as per manufacturers instructions.

Dear, dear Mel..... yes the hills are mere dots, one step and you are over them.

I wish I could write a decent race report. I read everyones elses, and they are great. I can never find anything to say. I am going to have up my act. First next race = Ridgway, that gentle race with no up hills, HUGE downhill bits, nice soft under foot conditions. Not a rabbit hole in sight. And as for tree roots, well they have all been dug out and backfilled in readiness for the Gulpers. Then the toilets, well, they are like palaces, even the Queen would love them. And no stiles, far too diffcult to get over.

Maybe my illustrous career in race-reporting should be put on hold...

Good man.

Went out with Mr Vole today, he did 6.80 miles, me just 3.40 at about 10.20 pace. Quite tiring, but it was nice to so something reckless.

Toby... you arent fat.. cant be at your pace...

Blimey, Pbs falling all over the place. Some excellent times by All. I think we sometimes do ourselves down so much!

AH... hmm.. not really sure about it. When I did my 9.20 pace for 3 miles, it felt OK, the last one a bit ough, but was actually 10 secs per mile quicker, as I was rushing to meet Mr Vole.

My HR.... seemed high all the way round, Ave HR was 171, compared to 166 and 169 at my last 2 10k's. First k was ave 160! And I was holding myself back too. RHR was OK that day. I am though, ahem, at a certain time in a mature Lady's Life, so do struggle with sleep at nights, and I do get hot easier than I used to.

Also, when I did my 9.20 pace, I had just done 2 miles at 10.40 pace with Mr Vole, and went straight into the 9.20 pace. Yesterday I  did a 12 minute warm up, had to wait for the start gun (and it was 5 mins late too). Whats going on, any idea?

The apple and crumble was laaarvely..... with custard... no ice cream

Well done on your run too, Yvonne... do you think the crowds got in your way, perhaps? You certainly are close to that sub 2hr (My PB for a Half is 2.00.02.... yes, those 3 secs were all that stood before me and a sub 2 hr!)
