Evening all, also aiming for 2014k this year. Not running far at the minute due heat and humidity, looking forward to the cooler weather to up the miles for an ultra in the new year.
Just passed 1000k.
Dogs, dogs and dogs
Mrs F you get used to the heat. I've lived in Dubai for the past 2 years. Ran 8k in 41 degrees this morning.
Just slow the pace down a bit if it's too hot.
You get used to running in the heat, it's over 40 during the day here but a run in say 35 degrees feels comfortable. As for rain, we had some in March!
And heat! It was 42 degrees here yesterday when I could get a run in!
Mixing it up is fine. Ran yesterday morning on TM outside last night and then treadmill at lunch time today. Not a huge fan of the TM and it's easy sometimes to give up and get off but running outside isn't always practical.
stick with it!
Very true, I'm sure you'll have a great time.
What's the point in going to the Commonwealth games if Jess isn't going to be there?
I'm not going to be there, don't plan to be back in the UK before August. winter has arrived in Dubai, chilly run in 20 degrees today and we even had rain! Haven't seen rain in months! Was nice for a change!
Anybody doing Edinburgh this year?
