I'd prefer min/miles as I'm too long in the tooth for all this metric nonsense...

And I too would like to see some of these photos of inebriated female forummers.

Managed to knock out a good solid 38:26 10K on Saturday. (Happy with that).  Sunday was a good muddy off-road hill session which included over 1000ft of ascent, and this evening was a very wet & windy 8 miles... Some more off-road to come before I start my training programme this time next week.

WA - The Bramley 20 is a two lap affair, there is also a one lap 10 mile race on the same day, and from what I've been told the second lap can be quite lonely.

Saying that, I'll be there...

Flexi-time is the best work-related invention ever.

I look at the rain lashing down & think to myself, "I bet it's getting really wet & muddy on the trails that I run up, down, & around, Bath racecourse..." Eureka!!! Use some flexi-leave, take the afternoon off & go and play in the mud!

Thanks boss. Although I may be late in tomorrow as I now have to remove 4 inches of mud from my Adidas Swoops...

Well done Tricky, still a damn good time even though the wheels came off... Now take it easy for a bit...

I have to keep telling myself that there's no point flogging myself to death in training at the moment - I don't want to be knackered when I start training for Rome at the end of the month. Just an off-road 10k, a flat 'n' fast 10k, & a hilly off-road half marathon to fit in between now & then...

While you're at it, could you have a word with B&NES Council to see if we could have a temporary ski lift installed on Dean Hill Lane???

EE3 - Nothing glamorous I'm afraid.

I have to walk up & down streets inspecting every footway & highway for faults/defects etc, mark up any that I find (those mysterious painted marks that suddenly appear) then arrange for them to be repaired. As I said, not very glamorous, but I'm paid to get fresh air & exercise & I'm virtually my own boss. It's a bit of a bugger when you have to work in awful weather conditions in the less salubrious parts of town though...

I have a sports massage every other week, so if I get no joy from the GP tomorrow then I'll make an appointment to see one of the physios the next time I go for a massage.

Good news: The achilles 'creak' in my right ankle has finally left me. Hooray!!

Bad news: The pain in my left foot, which I've had since I ran a 12.5mile off-roader 3 weeks ago, is still with me. So I've booked an appointment with the GP tomorrow morning. Boo!!

What's annoying me is that I can still run on it, I've posted 2 sub-90 half marathon times since the pain started, and it just aches, sometimes more than others. I've taken time off from running, but the pain still remained, and I walk for a living, so having time off my feet is not really an option. But it still aches... Is it possible to have a stress fracture & still run over 30 miles a week?

Could you update both the static (non-Garmin route map) & the list of runners please?
