I've run a few times since Thursday and in for Man V Horse in Wales on Saturday which should be a blast!  Must remember there's going to still be damage in the legs!

Feels strangely sad to read Emily, even though I likely won't run next time either. Feels like a couple of years journey we've been on

See you out on the trails no doubt! (or come and run Transvulcania!!)

I think I'll be giving the race a year off in favour of Transvulcania but it's only June and who knows what my stupid head might make me do?

Just downloaded my videos.. like the finish line one where I look a lot better than I felt.  Most of the others I'm either walking or heading off to the portaloos!

A nice memento for only about a tenner though

Ringo100 - no idea on the family to start thing though I am sure I read during the thread they do lay this on.

We drove down from Joburg to Durban and it was actually very easy so worth considering if there are several of you otherwise buying plane tickets.  It's a fair drive.. 400 miles but the scenery is great and there are places to stop off and you can always detour via Drakensburg/elsewhere.

The N3 is a toll road - I'd guess 3-400 Rand in all - 20 odd quid.

I've just entered Transvulcania which is the 9th May.  Will 4 weeks be long enough recovery or is the Treble in Trouble?
