I take it youve never lived in a flat before XFR Bear?

I live in one now and have for the majority of my life. Although some of my relationships have been with people who lived in houses

I don't think that follows at all - unless you announce that you're going to the toilet then you could be in any of the other rooms in the building

It wouldn't be that big a deal, but no, I don't particularly. Plus in some cases there were her kids to think of too

Oh and one other thing - the judge's thing about the texted arguments and stuff being all part of a relationship I could go with - except for the part of RS being scared of him.  That isn't my experience of relationships.

I guess the reason I said what I did was that whatever I would have done, or even a large majority of people would have done, how can we know what OP was thinking? I know not everyone reacts in the same way.

However, I do still find a lot that doesn't make sense (although admittedly I haven't been following the trial closely).  How can anyone who doesn't have serious cognitive issues believe that a gun is quite likely to kill someone? OP has said he knew he was in serious danger if the "intruder" came out of the toilet, so on that basis he'd be trying to stop that.

I've just dug out a bit more info - if you look at the floor plan, the toilet is not directly behind the door - if RS was just using the toilet then why was she standing behind the door, unless she'd only just gone in and was locking the door. When Oscar yelled at the intruder to get out of the house, she'd surely respond to say it was her in the bathroom?

If he didn't think the shots were going to  kill (or at least injure), then what was he firing them for? Providing extra ventilation for the "intruder"?
