Pack a protein punch on the go with these super-simple five-ingredient protein balls. They take just minutes to make and go perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee.

Why are these great for runners?

Peanut butter is rich in protein and contains lots of vitamin E, which helps boost your immune system.

Dates add a caramel-like flavour and sticky texture while providing a source of potassium.

Honey is almost 20% lower in calories than regular refined sugar.

Ingredients

Makes 12

100g Whole Earth smooth peanut butter

50g dates, very finely chopped

30g plain protein powder

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

1/ Beat the peanut butter, dates, protein powder and honey together in a bowl until they form a smooth, firm ball.

2/ Divide the ball up into 12 equal sized pieces.

3/ Roll each piece into a ball and coat with ground cinnamon.

Recipe made using Whole Earth peanut butter. Whole Earth are sponsors of the Man v. Horse endurance race, which takes place on 11th June 2016.
