This is a great book for getting me out running when I'm feeling lazy! How anyone can run whilst eating pizza, I'll never know.

Another fab motivator is Survival of the Fittest by Mike Stroud, which covers ultra and multisport events in all climates all around the world - fascinating!!

i got the Dean Karnazes book for christmas last year and he definately inspired me to try ultra running.  He's just a ordinary guy, though, doing extraordinary running events.  But i think this is one of the appealing things about him.  he gives the impression that if he can do it, any one of us can.

I've read the Ultramarathon Man book, and thought it was really good. Dean has a good conservational style of writing.

I had 50:50 for Xmas and am part way through it. Again a good book and easy to read
