Sennheiser/adidas CX 680

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Discussion

For those that know their headphones, Sennheiser certainly has a good history of producing high-quality products. For their latest range they've teamed up with leading sports shoe manufacturer adidas to launch a range purely aimed at runners.

What strikes you first about the CX 680s is the sound quality. Sennheiser headphones are renowned for blocking out ambient noise, and the CX 680s are no different.  Whilst this may seem like a great selling point, it may be worrying for runners who need to negotiate traffic as well as listening to music.

Weighing in at just 10g, the CX 680s are the lightest in the Sennheiser/adidas range so you won't be carrying any unnecessary weight. The bright-yellow cable is Dupont Kevlar reinforced, ensuring durability and weather-proof resistance in even the wettest and coldest (as low as -10C) conditions.

The level of personalisation is impressive. Along with the headphones themselves, there are three different sizes of ear adapters and EarFins to ensure you get the best fit possible, and you are even provided with an extension cable (with volume control) and a handy pouch to take with you on the move.

The headphones have impressive looks and audio quality and should sit at the top of any music-loving runner's list. Sennheiser and adidas have gone the extra mile and this results in a top-notch audio experience on the run.
