Garmin Forerunner 301

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion
Garmin's easy-to-use, reliable and accurate Forerunner GPS speed-and-distance monitor has proved to be hugely popular. With the addition of a heart-rate monitor it could now stake a claim to being the only running gadget you'll ever need. The Forerunner 301 does just about everything you'll ever need a watch to do: communicates with satellites to track your pace, distance and time; links to maps and uses GPS to stop you getting lost; monitors your pulse and even learns your maximum heart rate and suggests the best workouts to improve your fitness. You can then download everything the Forerunner records onto your PC, plot graphs and even create a month's worth of sessions to load on to the unit.
