The best £200 I've ever spent!

Easy to use, various settings for how you want to view your run, Back light good, Online garmin centre brilliant for stats and tracking progress and routes. Easily tracks distances, paces, elevation, heart rate.
Slightly large on a female wrist. Need to unplug and plug in the fob to get the data to load each time.
Brilliant piece of kit that makes running even more enjoyable!

A fantastic piece of kit. My motivation has gone throught the roof and mmy P.B.'s are tumbling.

Everything. Easy to use and downloads provide a wealth of information.
Can't really thing of one. Possibly battery life although to date it hasn't given up on me even on marathon distances.
By far my best buy when it comes to running equipment.

I would not be able to follow my training plans without it

Easy to use
Excellent visual and audible prompts
Fabulous Garmin website
Tailored training plans can be downloaded from RW to the Garmin Training Centre software
Battery life meter
Small and lightweight
Sometimes a little slow to get satellite lock
Bezel does not like rain ... you need to "lock" it when running in rain
Expensive
The most valuable piece of equipment I have purchased for my training. I use it for running and mountain biking. I have owned this for just over 8 months and it has not let me down. I would be lost without it!

A bit like the iPod, the real winner with the 405 is the user interface. The watch itself is simple to use, with the tap and scroll bezel allowing you to easily move through the menus as required. The supplied Garmin Training Centre software is excellent, but the real ace in the pack is the Garmin Connect website allowing you to upload your workout data, and track your performance.

I can not recommend this product highly enough. If you are thinking about buying it ... just buy it!

Disapointed

The 405CX is a great watch but the batery life is not that great. Always very good/quick at picking up the GPS signels. Holds the signel in built up and tree lined areas.
The battery life on the CX is not as good as Garmin state, resently used for trecking and couldn't get above 6h 25m life out out it with the vertual partner and heat rate monitor link switched off and charged until we used it! The battery isn't replaceable so when it's life is up (500 ish charges for Lithiam) you have to buy another watch!!
As long you you don't need it for more than 6 hours use - It's a great watch. The reports on the Garmin web link take it to another level.

Brilliant piece of kit

All the numbers at your fingertips
Choose what data is displayed and how
Menu system is a bit finicky
Highly recommended and better value than the Cx version.
