Great gadget but does have little problems

Keep track of where you went, distance, speed, height gains.
Easy to transfer data to computer
Too sensitive - coat sleeve keeps activating the bezel and changing the screen.
If you get water on it / rain then it stops functioning or freezes on GPS screen which I wasn't using
screen small to read when running
Bulky watch - had to cut sleeve in order to get it over watch.
Screen sometimes freezes - have to wait for battery to run out.
strap broke after 1yr
difficult to change screens
I like the idea but get frustrated when the screen freezes or changes when I don't want it to. London marathon another runner bumoed my arm switching it to gps and I couldn't get it back, so know idea pace running or distace

Great watch easy to use

Easy to use, great for uploading training plans. Easy to upload workouts to Garmin Connect to track progress.
Great range of features for tracking progress both on the run and using the uploads
The GPS start point can sometimes be a bit off on the upload to garmin connect although it had good accuracy before starting.
Having to use training centre for developing training workouts.
No real issues with the watch

Better now it's been repaired (replaced)

Great watch, love it
The battery life of the original 405CX was terible. After 2.5 hours left with very little life (and me). Sent for repair after 4 months and hay Garmin replaced it with a new one. The only problem now is it shows 'Her' watch battery isn't as great as we thought.
Besides the battery life on the original 405CX it's a great bit of kit. Seach on the web for some good deals - up to 1/3 off rrp is easily found.

Great Training Aid

When I first opened the box I thought I would never get to grips with operating the thing. The Garmin website has really good videos to help you through setting up and operating the watch and I have learnt a little more each time I've used it. Downloading your run is really simple and the information provided is really useful, whether you're interested in improving your speed, distance, heart rate monitoring or all three. The detailed breakdown of your performance and mapping is second to none. The training aids are great and running against a virtual partner is great fun.
It is slightly bulky for a slim wrist but hey ho I'll live with it.
I love it!
