Good in the fact that you dont lose signal as do GPS versions tend to. Need a bit of time setting up ie caliberating distance and ensuring a tight fit on the foot pod. Continue reading...

Is everyone that got the Nike Triax CV10 still happy with it. Gonna take the plunge just thought I would do a last minute scoop to make sure no one has had any disasters with it before i spend all my money.

Recovery Runner

Skipp - I have the V10 (same thing without the Heart Rate Monitor) and am very happy with it. Previously tried the Polar S625x which I found very bulky - both the watch and footpod were very large. Found the footpod rubbed when running and the software was also a little quirky. Then tried the Forerunner 201 which I thought (apologies to the converted) was horrible - a nice idea with a very well designed interface but too bulky on the wrist and the GPS just isn't good enough. It took a long time to find satellites, signal dropped out when there was tree cover and the pace information is hopeless (there's a thread by someone else somewhere on the site that explains why !). Nike is very simple, footpod is significantly smaller than Polar and seems to be very accurate - both overall distance and pace. Doesn't have PC download which is a bit of a shame but other than doing it a couple of times for a novelty I'm pretty sure I wouldn't use it anyway. I would recommend it !

Easy!
I had the Triax SDM 100 for nearly 3 years and got the Triax Elite 3 weeks ago, as I wanted a combined HRM which is the CV10 but plus wireless PC download for graphs and other geek stuff I love.
It is a great device which adds a whole dimension to running. Enjoy it!

Well, I have it now and everything seems fine but I need to calibrate it on a track and I have no idea where there is a running track in SW London? Anyone know of any?

Hi,also just got the CV10 but for some reason the heart monitor strap wont pair with watch!!!!
tried everything as per manual can anybody offer any advice.

Lee, I would suggest changing the batteries. The CV10's have been around a while now and you may have one which has been hanging around a bit?

Failing that contact Seiko UK and get them to sort it :-)

Thanks for that, very frustrating tried new batteries etc and nothing.SDM pod connects first time without any problems at all!

I got my CV10 today. I, too, had the similar problem as you. I found out that there is a hard reset "button" on the chest strap. Open the battery hatch and you will see small prints that direct you to a reset button (which you will have to use a small pin to push). That did the trick for me.

The problem that I am having now (after getting the HRM to sync with the watch) is that for some reason, it is still not getting the signals from the HRM strap. (I no longer have the link error. But I don't see the heart icon and the watch is still not reading my heart rate.)

Help?

Just to say I have the version without the HRM and I love it! It's revolutionised my training as I have a much better idea of pacing myself. The foot pod is unobtrusive, the watch is easy to use and you can change the batteries in botht he foot pod and the watch yourself (unlike Polar).

Hi there,

Emergency. Watch has stood me in good stead for 5/6 years but now links with the pod ok but won't acknowledge any pace/movement. Any ideas would be hugely appreciated on how this can be remedied or who to go to?
