Definately gives me a bit of help on the last half of a 19 mile run. Not sure if it speeds me up or if its just psychosematic but the pleasant flavour makes me feel like i've actually taken in food on a run. Continue reading...
My favourite for the above reasons Continue reading...
First gel I have used and I didn't have any problems other than the afore mentioned opening. Would recommend as good selection of flavours to suit most tastes. Continue reading...
If they work for you then fine. But I still believe you can't go wrong with power bar. And when there's hundreds of people discarding them at once they don't half stick to your trainers! Continue reading...

You would never guess where

Dear Welsh Alex. I need the belt that just holds the sachets.

the belt for high 5 is the pouch thing.

Otherwise buy a number belt for triatherlon.

I know this threads two years old but I've just ordered this one, comes in at £15 but does it all..........

Cheers for that Br0ders - would you recommend this then cos I was thinking of ordering this myself (I like to alternate Gels with 'proper' food such as Jaffa Cakes, Malt Loaf etc hence the need for a small pocket too). I've got the SiS one at the mo, but I think the elastic has gone which holds the Gels in place cos they keep falling out and I lose them - costing me a fortune!

sheesh - a mobile canteen would probably do you better.......

why not buy a small bumbag??

It probably would!! I did the White Peak Mara in May and I could have set up a small stall selling Gels, Jaffa Cakes, Jelly Babies etc - would have made a fortune!!

Yes I've got a small Innov-8 but I can't seem to get it to stay in one place - so it keeps riding up and then bouncing all over the place. I wore that for the Dublin Mara last Oct, but threw it to my girlfriend at about the 10 mile mark cos it was annoying me so much.

 Picky so-and-so really aren't I?!?!?

I get an energy low after about an hour. Can anyone recommend a gel or glucose tablet? I did dry some gel/syrup during the Stroud half and it got stuck in my throat and I couldn't breathe easily for the last 2 miles. Water wouldn't wash it down. It took 2 hours to clear.
