Maximuscle Maxi-Milk

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion

Maximuscle might be better known for its drums of protein powder, but in addition to its recovery powder Recovermax, it has moved on to individual ready-mixed drinks with Maxi-Milk.

A carton of Maxi-Milk contains the same amount of protein as you'll find in a portion of chicken breast and as much carbohydrate as a serving of brown rice. It is also high in both glutamine and leucine, amino acids that have been found to aid muscle growth and immune health.

With 10g protein and 11.6g carbohydrate however, Maxi-Milk is some distance from the 4:1 carbohydrate:protein ratio recommended for recovery.

Our tester said: "Maxi-Milk's smooth, creamy consistency is soothing on the stomach. However, it did taste extremely sweet and sugary."
