IT DOES WORK

Seems to make you feel recharged
It is very sweet and extremely sticky. Especially when spilt on oneself.
It works and I buy it in germany where the shops stock it like red bull so you don't have to go to a specailist shop for it.

ONLY ONE THAT WORKS FOR ME DURING MARATHON/ULTRAS

easy to digest early on in race
can become sickly if taken too much towards the latter stages of marathon
gets me going.use it early on in a marathon and during middle stages.ease back around mile 20 and possibly don't take any more on board.should be hydrated enough to finish.

WELL KNOWN BRAND BUT IS THIS A GOOD THING?

Branded product, research base, product development.
Flavouring and sweetners. Sweet aftertaste
Ok a chance to critique a sports drink. Do we need carbohydrates, water, Potassium and sodium replacement when we run. Well the science base is by no means unequivocal for mild to moderate loss but we believe it is a risky proposition to go 'hypo' so we drink the drink. It certainly doesn't harm to drink these drinks (as long as it not to excess) but do we need to consume sweetners and flavourings as well? Perhaps they make it more palatable but I personally don't like the after-taste and there are alternative products with less additives and they probably nudge it for me.

NOT THE NICEST, BUT SEEMS TO WORK

They give it out FREE at FLM so you may as well get used to it first and let them provide you with as much as you want (assuming you do FLM obviously!)

I find it drinkable and it does not upset my tummy even after 20 miles or more. I've used it on countless very long runs and FLM.

It does seem to keep you going and I found it worked well to have it at some points, whilst returning to plain water at other stations.

I'll say it again... If you are doing London it seems to me sensible to get used to it during training. If it then seems not to suit your tum, then you've got time to switch brands before the big day. BUT you will then have to buy, bring, carry your own for the whole 26 miles. Unless of course you are an elite athlete with your personal drink labeled up at the drinks stops!!
Tastes very sweet and quite sickly and leaves me with a kind of gooey aftertaste not long after. As if a quick swig of water would be nice.

Some other drinks nicer to swallow.

Worth it probably if the Race give it out (e.g. FLM), does seem to work.
Have to add that I am now running more using gels and water rather than drinking this (or any other brand).
