A slightly beefed up version of the GOrun, which won Best Debut in this year’s Spring/Summer Shoe Guide, the Ride has a 4mm heel drop instead of zero, a more cushioned midsole, and the pods on the outsole – which promote midfoot striking – have been made more stable and less aggressive to make the shoe more accessible for heel strikers. The upper is still incredibly lightweight and the shoe is flexible enough to twist in your hands, but the extra heft brings this model more into the mainstream.
