Adidas Supernova Glide

Secure feel and push-off |

Poor breathability |
Formerly the Supernova Cushion, this update follows adidas's welcome trend of going wider, with a bigger platform in the forefoot for a more secure feel and push-off.
The women's version also has a soft area to protect bunions and a gender-specific bevelled heel. Both men's and women's have full-length Adiprene foam to make them softer and give better rebound.
Our lab tests show that this is a really soft shoe (separate tests on the forefoot also show that it's among the softest on test) and, for neutral, high-arched runners, it's a pleasure to wear. The wider shape makes them feel fairly stable too, aided by a more structured upper with less mesh.
Our wear-testers say:
"For a shoe with a lot of cushioning it felt relatively light. I was impressed with the upper material; very comfortable." - Darren McNeely
