Asics has merely touched up what is already a well-loved old-stager in the ranks of neutral-cushioned shoes. Memory-foam lining has been inserted over the arch for a snug, more comfortable wrap around the forefoot, while the gel compound in the heel has been repositioned to provide extra shock absorption.
Most of our testers liked the cushioning and the subtle support, although runners with narrower feet found the wider forefoot design caused the shoe to move around. Good for bigger runners doing high mileage.
