WHAT'S NEW? A longer guidance line on the outsole to help foot placement during transition; a snugger, plusher heel fit; separate eyelets for comfier lacing and lighter weight cushioning.WE SAY There is no substantial difference in feel between this and the Nimbus 12 - which is not a bad thing, ...  Continue reading

On first wearing of these running shoes i was fairly pleased with them, but after a few runs I started noticing a bit of discomfort around my Achilles and lower Calf muscle. After a 4 day rest I went out for a Continue reading...

I was very happy with my Gel Nimbus 12 but as they were wearing out, I got a new pair of GN13.  Unfortunately the 13s give me some numbness in my feet after I've been running more than 5k.  I've tried redoing laces etc to no avail.  Switched back to my old 12s and no problem so whatever the miniscule change betweeen 12 and 13 is - it has had a negative impact.  I am now looking for 12s that are being sold cheap as a clearance item and I'll just use the 13s for short runs.  I would never have imagined that a simple upgrade could cause such a problem.

The fit is definitely narrower than the 12's which were the perfect fit for me. The 13's also took a lot longer to break in than the 12's so had to do more short runs in them before they felt comfortable enough for a long run. Will possibly buy them again as I'm happy with them now, but are slightly disappointing compared to the 12's.
