Hi there.
About 2 months ago I finally went to Sweatshop to have my running style analysed. The reason was a pair of Asics 2090s that were giving me blisters inside both arches. So I thought I was probably in the wrong shoe (have been running casually for many a moon without ever having my feet analysed). I was told that the 2090s had an unusually high arch and many people were suffering the same.
After checking my strike, I was told I was a slight pronator but would be better off in a neutral shoe. So I ended up buying a pair of Mizuno Wave Rider 9s. The first 2 runs they were comfy although not as "springy" as my Asics (to be expected). Then they started causing me blisters inside my arches again, although slightly further forward thn with the Asics.
I have tried thin socks, thick socks, tighter lacing, looser lacing, at various points in the shoe.
And still no joy.
Any ideas anyone? I'm going to venture baqck to the shop and see what they recommend but as I have done close to 50 miles so far I am not expecting a full refund!
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Neil.
