The Stratus is a new shoe with some familiar mid-range Asics features, including a SpEVA midsole, GEL in the rearfoot and forefoot, and a Trusstic unit under the arch for stability. Though not an especially supportive shoe, for neutral runners it offers a bouncy, flexible but reliable run, which stays comfortable over many miles. For shorter runs the Stratus offers a fast, smooth ride. Testers also commented on its excellent breathability in the toe-box. For the price, it's difficult to fault this shoe.
