This is all about cushioning and comfort. The last of the shoe has been modified to provide greater spring and a better fit while the rubber on the forefoot has been thickened by 1.5mm for extra bounce. The midfoot has been redesigned for greater stability and biodegradable BioMoGo foam has been used in the midsole and sockliner.
The low weight of these shoes puts them almost in the performance shoe category – but somehow Brooks has managed to increase the cushioning at the same time.
Our testers reported that they were firmer than the previous version but still cushioned and springy, although reduced grip ensures they are suitable only for use on the roads.
