Brooks Radius 6
A little softer than before, but the Radius is still a reasonably stable cushioning shoe.

Our Review

As with most Brooks shoes this update sees evolution rather than revolution. The upper is made of a denser, more supportive mesh, which has allowed Brooks to remove some of the overlays, reducing friction points, while improving the overall fit of the shoe. Brooks has also increased the thickness of ...  Continue reading

Really nice cushioning ride. Continue reading...
Everybodies different and this shoe really works for me. I did stray and bought a pair of Mizuno's, between Radius 5 & 6 and got injured. I learnt my lesson and went back to Radius 6. Continue reading...
Good width for me, good cushioning and good price! Continue reading...
After changing from a Neutral Shoe to one to control my overpronation I was having problems finding a shoe that didn't make my aches ache. The first time I ran in this shoe I managed 8 miles with no problems so Continue reading...

Does anyone run in these? I went to Up and Running in Leeds and tried loads of other shoes on but on the gait analysis these correct my slight over-pronation perfectly and feel really good on (i've yet to test them out properly though). I've read some really bad reviews so some re-assurance would be welcomed!

I run in them & like them.

But I do wear orthotics with them so I can't comment of them in their 'natural state'.

They are a neutral, cushioning shoe though, not for overpronation.

Did they video you running in them or have you run up a street?

they videoed me on the treadmill in all the shoes I tried on, and the brooks were by far the best. I had a quick run on Friday night in them and they felt good, although I was still tired from Thursdays run (I couldnt wait to try them out!)so need to have a long run in them - hopefully tonight.

It's supposed to be better to try new shoes for shorter runs so your feet have a chance to adapt, I think.

thanks for the advice; think I'll amend my plans for this week and do more shorter runs until my spanking new trainers are smelly and filthy!

Having endured heavy motion control shoes I now run in radius 6's with orthotics.I've only had them a few weeks but so far they seem great especially at high speed.

I use Brooks radius 6 's.
I've had them about 5 months now. Done 270 miles or so.
For me , they're very good. No blisters, supportive, good grip, comfortable. I think I'd prefer them to be a bit lighter. But all in all, yeah, they're ok.
In case it helps, I'm male, 5'10" and 11.5st.

I bought a pair on the recommendation of the runnning shop I go to. I was looking for a replacement for my NB854's. They convinced me that 857's would be to controlling for my moderate overpronation. They felt good on the short test around the precints of t shop but they kill my feet on longer runs and caused all sorts of other aches and pains. Anyone want a pair of size 7.5's with less than 30 miles on the clock?

I love my Brooks, trying on the Radius 6, after wearing 4 & 5 for the last 3 years, was like welcoming an old friend into your house for a spot of tea and cakes. Well not quite like that, but you get my train of thought. I have quite a wide forefoot and the Radius 6 seem to be made for my feet and the backs are not too big. I am a big guy, 6' 2 and 16 stone and i function well in these. God only knows why I bought a pair of Mizuno's and subjected my achilles to 10 miles of abuse. My lesson was/is a painful one to learn.

I got a pair of these and I've just started, really comfy for a new guy and I'm 17st

I have a pair of these. I'm 5' 9" and under 10st, but they seem to have lost most of their cushioning after only 140 miles, and as a result I'm starting to get back and knee problems that I've never had before.

Does anybody know if there are any issues with the Radius 6 cushioning? Is the Radius 7 with "MoGo" any more durable?

I've had 3 or 4 pairs of these. I used to wear Asics Kumo's but they stopped making them.

I get good mileage out of my Radius' and I'm 12 stone at 5 feet 10.

I race and train in them.
