The Praya 2 features Etonic's Resilient Cushioning System, designed to make the shoe feel soft and responsive at the same time. E-Bound foam in the midsole is aimed at maximising energy return.
The outsole is made with plugs of hard-wearing rubber in the heel for durability and a softer blown rubber in the forefoot to give a better road feel.
This is certainly a well-cushioned shoe but our lab tests show that it's not especially responsive. Testers said it felt "heavy", although it's a good weight for such a well-padded shoe, so this is perhaps a reflection of its feel on the road. It also came up a bit narrow in the heel.
