New Balance 1060

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion
The 1060 is the cushioning counterpart to New Balance’s excellent 1050 stability shoe and it looks as if the firm has another hit on its hands. Bags of cushioning are provided by a full-length pad of New Balance’s Abzorb material in the midsole and Abzorb SBS, an even more durable material under the toes and in the heel. All this adds up to a plush feel and an excellent ride. The 1060 also offers a little bit of stability thanks to a plastic arch bridge and the N-Lock lacing system which wraps the arch for a snug fit.
