New Balance 1062

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion
The 1062 has a new stability web in the sole for added support, while the entire outsole has been made more flexible, with deeper grooves in the forefoot and a divided heel for a smoother run. This shoe's predecessor was great for cushioning but had a slightly stiff, clumpy feel, and this has been addressed with the 1062. It's easier to run in, though still not a fast ride, and it's more stable without losing the softness that testers enjoyed in the 1061. It's also a little lighter, but still a big unit. Our wear-testers say: "This shoe had a nice smooth feel, you could definitely feel the cushioning in the heel. The seamless liner also helped to keep my feet blister-free." - Daniel Benson
