Cushioning has been improved with a new full-length Air-Sole unit, making the shoe much lighter, while the outsole has new more durable BRS 1000 rubber. As with previous updates, Nike has worked on the flexgrooves and heel crashpad to give

a more natural-feeling ride.

Again the men's and women’s shoes are very different, with the men's much stiffer and the female version more flexible. The lighter weight is really noticeable. At first it felt much firmer than previous models but soon broke in to give reliable cushioning.
