Hello,

Anyone tried them? I am still umming and ahhhing over whether to go for these or another pair of road nike pegasus. Apart from a tougher waterproof outer and a dark colour. Is there any real benefit in them for going off-road?

Cheers,

Mark

I tried a pair on at shop but found them to tight due to orthopedic insoles i have to use. I run in the normal road model of them fine so think that the harder waterprofing might have contributed to them being a bit narrower. but i am no expert this is just my personal view as a person who has lots of trouble finding the right running shoes.

I've got a pair and I'm not a fan - they give me blisters on the sole even though they are properly worn in.  Never tried normal pegasus though so it may just be me.

The sole is identical to the normal pegasus so they're good for splasing through puddles on tracks but not enough tread to really be an off road shoe.

I have these and I find them great. A lot of my runs take in road and off road surfaces so they are a good option for the mixed terrain. I'm only light (6'  11st10) and they don't give me any problems on the hard road surfaces but they still have enough stability and grip when I'm off road. When I bought them they were one of only two pairs recommended to me by the sales assistant at run and become after explaining my needs and showing him my old trainers.

From the very first run I had no problems with them at all - no blisters whatsoever and they felt comfy straight away.

I guess it's all down to whether they suit you as an individual or not?

Good luck.

I only wear nike pegasus and found the new trail shoes great, i especially like how they have given the toe area more room, and if you shop around you can get them for a good price.

My Air Pegasus which I bought last year have served me well. Great on trails and also on cross country races. A very stable and waterproof shoe. Just bought a second pair last week to replace the present pair when their time is up!

My third pair of pegasus but never as good as my first . The major problem seems to be the narrow fit which is unforgiving even after many miles. The shoe lacks its old bounce feeling. However the looks are great and I liked the inner sole.
