Comfort and breathability

Lack of forefoot cushioning

This new model is Puma's top-of-the-line neutral-cushioned shoe, one of two shoes from a new development team. It's based on a new last and features Duocell cushioning in the heel for a soft but responsive impact, while the pronounced mid-sole taper towards

the front of the shoe is designed for a smooth

heel-to-toe transition.

The new last produced mixed reports, split down gender lines. Female testers thought the shoe was too wide, while men had no complaints. Everyone complimented the comfort and breathability, but cushioning was a mixed bag – our lab reports show they offer plenty in the heel, but not so much in the forefoot. Our wear-testers say: "Looks great and has good lacing structure, but poor forefoot cushioning." - Emma Goldsmith
