Reebok Premier SmoothFit Cushion

This brand new model has breathable mesh and laser-cut holes for added ventilation. The high-density foam in the forefoot has been re-designed so that, Reebok says, it provides a 50 per cent increase in cushioning to previous models, as does the added foam section in the heel.

The name is no doubt inspired by the heat-sealed seam-free upper, which feels exceptionally smooth and sleek. Our testers found the ride responsive, light and comfortable, but also felt that the forefoot contains significantly less cushioning than the heel. Our wear-testers say:

"The fit is good. I felt quite ‘boingy’ running in them. The upper is quite light, which makes it feel like a slipper, but I’d be worried that this would not support the foot enough over time." - Abi Moran
