There's less durable rubber in the midsole, resulting in a significant weight reduction, while the midsole has been filled in under the arch, offering more stability. Though it's still a fairly average weight, some of our testers did comment that it felt light and very breathable. What really impressed though was the secure feeling in this roomy shoe, both from the more supportive midsole and in terms of impressive traction and a sure-footed feel in tricky conditions.
