Great shoes. Comfort, fit and ride first class. Love the 4mm drop.
I tried these shoes on as a lark in a shoe store. Being a fairly new runner, far from having an efficient stride, and having run only in traditional shoes before, I thought these shoes were way out of my class. They felt so good, I couldn't help but jog around in the store. Now have over 100 miles on them, my chronic knee and hip pain is gone! I set PB's in every category the first 3 times I ran in them. Try these shoes on and if they're a good fit, go for it! You DO NOT need to be an efficient runner to run in these shoes. These shoes will help you become a more efficient runner.
The sole does show more wear then you would expect from a traditional shoe, but I guess that's the price you pay for a light weight shoe. I'd say I should get 500 miles, but that's with a lot of tread mill.
The 4mm drop takes a little to get used to. My caves, lower leg and ankles were all quite sore the first few times I ran in them. That's probably from wearing over supportive shoes which weaken your foot muscles.
These shoes truely make me feel like a runner. I could never get beyond 5 miles without my knee/hip pain causing me to cut back before these shoes. I now do 5 miles routinely and do a long run, 8-10 miles once a week. Am looking forward to my first 1/2 Marathon later this summer and have all the confidence in the world. Bought a second pair and alternate them between runs. These shoes feel like slippers on your feet. Hard to believe you can get such good cushioning in such a light weight shoe.
