BIG CHANGE IN DESIGN. NOT SUIT ME

Very keen price and look nice

Big change of structure from the 3's on the forefoot. Found it felt like running on a ledge

Very disapointed with this shoe. ran i the 3's and no problems. Too much change for change sake!

BLISTERS!

Great cushioning.
Can't lose them - too bright!

Give me blisters everytime on the instep!

Lovely cushioning, but I always get blisters on the instep on both feet after about 3 miles.
Real shame as I can't really use them any more for this reason.
My favs are the Grizzly approach, but not really a road shoe, but the Grizzlys don't give me blisters ;-(

SUPER CUSHIONED, GOOD FITTING SHOE

Plush cushioning, well ventilated, lightweight, perfect fit

The open mesh ventilation at the front and sides lets sand pour in if you run on a beach, the sole can get damaged easily.

Switched to this shoe after wearing Nike Pegasus for years. The pegasus used to be the benchmark for plush cushioning, but recently the cushioed and the fit have gone downhill.

The saucony Progrd Triumph 4 feels plusher and the fit on the foot feels perfect, ample room but well fitted. Cushioning is first class even taking out the standard insole and putting in my orthotics. The sole did have a chunk taken out of it on a trail run, so perhaps the sole is a bit too soft? Otherwise I have been 100% happy with them and well worth the £80 price tag.

OK, BUT NOT SUITED TO A HEAVIER RUNNER

A solid build, very comfortable and light weight. Good ventilation.

Rearfoot midsole very soft in comaprison to other top of the range brand cushioning shoes, which can lead to slight inward collapse of ankle in heavier runners (80kg+)

I was very happy with this shoe until my one ankle became uncomfortable and I had my gait analysed. The softer rearfoot midsole(compared to Asics Nimbus for example) has led to my ankle dropping in, after only 50km. I would recommend this shoe to anyone with an average to below average BMI. As a top of the range cushioning shoe, I would have expected more shock absorbing and less shape-loss of the sole. Not worth the money.

TRIUMPH PERFORMS, PERFORMS THEN PERFORMS SOME MORE

A great shoe for the neutral runner, the triumph is flatter than many other cushioning shoes and easily out performs all that I have tried, which believe me is a lot. The shoe holds you steady on the road and is equally at home if you are a heel striker, if you run mid-foot or on your toes. The shoe is very well ventilated and surprisingly supple in the middle, which does make sprinting and climbing hills on the balls of your feet easy. My Triumphs have now done over 800 miles, so have out lasted comparable models by other manufacturers by quite a margin.

The shoe comes in a few different colour styles, one of which is gold and black. Be warned, people keep stopping me to ask where to buy them, which actually becomes a bit tedious after a while. Look out for a small flaw, a fold, in the manufacture of the toe box and make sure it doesn't rub your big toe if your shoe has this common fault. One other odd problem with this shoe is that it is so well ventilated, it fills with sand really quickly if you run on the beach, so sand is really not much of a go-er if you are out in your Triumphs.

This shoe will run and run, Saucony's best neutral shoe yet. This shoe will eat up the miles and still deliver every time.
