My suspicion is that the red X implies that the high arch is a negative because it will only fit people with high arches. (Maybe only really really high arches...?)
Anyway, I'd suggest you go to a specialist running store where they can look at your gait and recommend a style of shoe. From there, you can choose one that actually fits you (as opposed to 'fits an average magazine tester').
The running store will cost a few quid more than buying on t'internet. But you'll have a much higher likelihood of getting the right pair of shoes, which is probably worth something.
