Good bog standard max support trainer. I have two pairs.
Great for support, really does what it says on the box, max support and lasts a long time. I wear two pairs in rotation and even after a year (am the average 20 miles p/wk runner plus other gym things) they show no creases and have life in them yet!
They are not as soft as the Evolution which offers the same level of support. They also don't look as pretty as the Kayano, Nimbus or the Nike Lunarglides which I wish I could wear (either no cash, or no support).
They have little to complain about, not 'WOW' trainers (like the Evolution 6) but not a bad word to say about them really to be honest.
I have just bought a pair of Foundation 9s and theres little in the differences between these and their replacements. They offer great support and have a great lifespan, lasting longer then previous trainers from Asics I have had (1150, 2150).
I would rebuy the foundation 9 rather then the 8s because they are a tiny bit more cushiony at the ankle, but other then that I don't feel the differences.
