Brooks Beast

Lighter and more responsive

Still a heavy model

What's new? Brooks has introduced its DNA lightweight cushioning material all along the midsole.

We say Renowned as the daddy of control shoes, this is still a force to be reckoned with. But it's a bit less beastly than usual, owing to the loss of 15g of weight. The result is a softer, more responsive shoe that still manages to control heavy overpronation better than any other shoe. The Beast (and the women's version, Ariel) is suitable for bigger runners needing maximum support.

Wear testers say "I found it quite stiff, but it had  good cushioning from the start. Excellent for the high mileage runner." John Tymukas
