Brooks Dyad 4

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion
Despite having just a single-density midsole, the updated Dyad is a very stable shoe. Instead of using a medial post for stability, the shoe is built on a straight last and has “Arch Pods” on both the inner and outer side of the midfoot. This means it's lighter and more cushioned than a traditional motion control shoe, but can also be worn by the rather rare breed of flat-footed, but neutral, runners. It seems to work, so Brooks has altered little - there's less outsole material in the midfoot for a smoother ride, extra grooves in the midsole to boost cushioning and additional overlays on the upper for more support.
