Mizuno Wave Alchemy 8

Summary | Full Review | Reader Reviews | Gallery | Specs | Discussion
The Alchemy has enjoyed the same fit upgrade as Mizuno’s other key models, with the new Dynamotion Fit concept in the upper: a stretchy panel on the outside of the midfoot, towards the front of the ankle, that stops the heel collar from becoming deformed.

The new stretch panel worked well in Mizuno’s neutral models but had mixed reactions from testers in the Alchemy, with some finding it a more natural fit and others saying the heel felt loose. Cushioning and support were good, with the smooth action of the earlier Alchemy still evident, and try-on comfort was much better with the new sockliner and a more breathable upper. Our wear-testers say:

"The thick sole and high arch felt odd at first but it was comfortable and stable. I liked the comfort and flexibility of the upper." - Anna Townsend
