New Balance 1222
The 1222 has a two-density medial post, reinforced with plastic to provide plenty of stability and smooth the transition from footstrike to toe-off.
There's plenty of cushioning technology too, with Abzorb SBS plugs underneath the toes and the heel, plus a layer of soft, durable foam beneath the sockliner for additional comfort.
That said, it's still a pretty firm shoe.
