Perfect balance of comfort and stability
Perfect for heel strikers and neutral runners. Nice amount of cushioning which feel like they mould to the feet to give a personalised feel.
Took me a few weeks to for my legs to get comfortable with them but now they are a beautiful ride. My feet were absolutely fine after doing the Paris marathon a few days ago.
My previous pair of shoes was the Asics Nimbus 12 which I found to be too soft and unstable under foot. Also the material near the toe tore after a couple of months. The glycerin 9 is a much better choice for me as they are more durable, fit like a glove, have good breathability and just the right amount of cushioning without being wobbly like the Nimbus. I'm a fan and I'm surprised the RW review only gave it 3.5

Helped me over come the effects of shin splints
I suffer(ed) from shin splints so needed shoes that would give me maximum support and cushion. My local running shop let my try three shoes, one of which was the Brooks 9. I have a neutral running stance and these were prefect. I have not suffered from shin pain since running in them. Very comfy and full of grip.

good cushioning, yet not sloppy like some cushioned shoes (Pegasus for eg). I've run 400+ on my current pair including Snowdonia Marathon and they are only just showing signs of wear.
Great colours, well the green and black version are!
A bit pricey! I've just switched to the red and silver as they are currently only £67 on Amazon.
If brooks were to stop making these I'd be lost!!

Best pair of trainers I've owned! Fit like a glove from day 1!
Instantly comfortable. Cool deign. Fitted better than the other 4 I tried on in the shop. Ideal for neutral runners. Owned for 4 months now, trained for & ran 2 halfs & 1 full marathon & they still look & feel new. Would definitely buy again!
Not sure about the memory gel business. It is claimed it can tell when your foot is sprinting, or jogging & adjusts the gel accordingly...I couldn't tell any difference. Could that mean it works perfectly? Who knows? Pricey - top end product from Brooks, so you may pay up to £100, could well be cheaper trainers out there that do the same job!
I would recommend these to any neutral runner. They feel so right the moment you lace them up. I always wore Mizuno, but didn't like the feel of the latest Wave Rider, so tried the Brooks Glycerin 9. They felt poles apart. I've clocked many pain & blister-free miles in them & look forward to many more, at which point I'll not hesitate to purchase another pair!
