After being a fan for several years, I'm disappointed with this model. Continue reading...
I've been running in Nike Air Pegasus for 4 years now. These 2006 shoes are not quite as good as the 2004, but much better than the 2005. Continue reading...
Too cushioned to make me feel like really making an effort. cannot get going in them. Perfect for plodders! Had loads of versions over the years and these do not feel like pegs at all Continue reading...
I have worn Pegasus for many years and ran many marathons in them and this 06 model is such a disappointment. I have gone back to the 05 model which in my humble opinion was the best. The 05's are more expensiv Continue reading...
Once i'd run in them a few times I was happier. Took a bit of getting used to tho, don't think I'd buy them again to be really honest- will stick with Saucony in the future Continue reading...

Will it resolve the general dissatisfaction with the Pegasus 2005 or are they still going to struggle matching the Peg 2004/2002 etc ?

I read the original reviews of the peg 2005, and I must admit I was doubtful about buying a pair, despite having owned 18 pairs of Pegasus previously.

But I got to thinking - give it a chance, if it suits me then I should have the prospect being able to buy lots of cheap pairs if the market is flooded with unsold shoes due to the poor reviews.

The 2005 model is excellent, its perfectly suited to my running style - couldn't ask for a better shoe. Now where can I get another 18 pairs for £29.99 each?

I too have been a long term peg user. The 2005 shoe is too stiff for me. Ok for doing a long distance shuffle and don't get injured in them but they just are too hard and stiff.

Tom

you won't get them at £29.99 but McArthur Glen at J36 of the M4 in South Wales currently have:

Air Pegasus (narrow) yellow 2005 at £40

Air Max Moto 4 at £40 (blue silver)

Air Structure Triax at £50.

IF you can wangle 10% off that makes them even better.(esporta membership eg)

Last week they had buy one get one half price so me and the wife got a pair of Moto's each for £60!

I'd like a pair of these
"Nike Air Pegasus 2006"
but I'm 14stone/90 Kgs, I overpronate, i have taylor made Othotics, I have a wide forefoot, E.
Does anyone know if these would be Suitable ?

Can anyone tell me what colour these are?

Saw a pair in JB Sports yesterday and the were blue and looked iffy. In the magazine (shoes reviews), they're of a completely different design and red.
Looked at a couple of websites and can only find the blue pair.

Late returner to this thread, but thanks Chris - I'm down in Cardiff in a couple of weeks (HSB Cardiff 10K), where abouts is J36 on M4.

Scott, why are you bothered about the colour. In a couple of weeks running they will look just as mankie as all your other trainers

Andrew, I think they are pretty well cushioned, but I'm only 10 and a bit stone and a forefoot striker. Also I think that one of the main criticism of them is that they are a bit narrow in the forefoot, a bit inflexible and have a sewn in tongue which can irritate a bit....so probably not!

on my fourth pair of pegasus now. 2006 model as reviewed in RW and they're red in colour rather than the blue and yellow of my last pair which i think would be the 2005/2006 model.

Wore them last night for the first time for 3miles - very pleased.

got them from Pete Bland online with free and next day delivery for only £58.50.

Tom, it's 3/4 stops further up. Say 15 miles from Cardiff.

Come off at Junction 36 and follow the signs to the retail outlet.

If you can, pop into the Sainsbury's petrol station. They have a little box on the counter at the end which has a 10% voucher in. Present that at the office in the retail outlet (by the food court) and they give you a 10% voucher for use in all stores.

So then you can get 10% off Nike, Adidas, and Reebok.

At the moment Nike have goodish stocks of Triax, Perseus 2, Pegasus, Vomero, Max Moto etc and Adidas have some very good kit like Response Gilet's, Jackets, Shorts etc.

Reebok are as crap as they always are!

Being a long time user of Pegasus,i'm hoping they are better than the 05 version, didn't like the elasticated inner sock/tongue.
Bought a pair from Sportsworld last week for £45.49.I've not yet tested them out on a run.

Pegasus 05 in narrow fitting are in McArthur Glen (Bridgend) £40 per pair, plus at the moment there is an additional 25% off which takes it down to £30 per pair.

They fit me, so they are not too narrow.

They have also got max moto and a few other running types.

Mcarthur Glen have the whole range at the moment

Air Structure Triax - 2 colours

Vomero - Blue and White

Moto IV - two colours

Air Max 360 (if you really want)

pegasus yellow white

perseus 2

plus some other "running stuff"

25 per cent off has finished now mind.

But the petrol station in Sainsburys still has the odd 10 per cent card knocking around!
