Brooks Cascadia

Having bruised the soles of my feet using a pair of cross country shoes for an orienteering exercise recently, I have just invested in a pair of Brooks Cascadias. What a shoe, they are bedding in nicely and proving to be excellent over hard packed tracks. They have a superb gripping sole that does not become over-clogged in mud and copes very well with surface water on dry ground. This shoe has the same characteristics as some of the Brooks road model range and for me, the fit is exceptional. Good efficient trail shoes are hard to come by (in my humble opinion) but I feel I have stumbled on a really good model in the Brooks Cascadia.

Thanks for posting this thread. I've been struggling to decide on buying a pair of Cascadia's and your comments helped push me in the right direction!
I've just tested them on a 5 mile trail race this morning and they did an excellent job.

Graeme Hilditch has just reviewed the Brooks Cascadia 5 running shoes and was really impressed. IF you have any quetsions he's happy to answer them.
